GRANT — EXECUTIVE ADVISOR AI

We built this platform to help you move forward — not to profit from your data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

1. Introduction

The 2nd Chance ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Different View of Business LLC, a Florida limited liability company, operates an AI-powered business advisory platform accessible at the2ndchance.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are committed to transparency. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your business ideas, strategies, or advisory session content to train AI models. Your work on this platform is yours.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, complete the onboarding interview, interact with Grant, and use our advisory modules.

Account information includes your full name, email address, and password. Onboarding profile information includes your professional background, skills, available capital, time commitment, risk tolerance, and business goals — this information is used exclusively to personalize your advisory experience with Grant. Session content includes the conversations, ideas, analyses, and documents generated during your use of the platform. Payment information is processed directly by Stripe; we do not store your credit card details.

We also collect information automatically when you use the platform, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, and actions taken within the platform. This technical data is used for security, performance monitoring, and product improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the platform, to personalize Grant's advisory guidance based on your profile, to process payments and manage your subscription, to send transactional emails including account confirmation, account notifications, and payment notifications, to send a weekly check-in email about the commitments you set for a project (you can turn it off with one click in any of those emails or on the project's check-in page), to send a short survey 30 and 90 days after you start a project (we publish only aggregate results, never names or ideas), and to identify and prevent fraud or abuse.

We use aggregated and anonymized usage data to understand how the platform is used and to improve our product. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.

We do not use your business ideas, strategic plans, market analyses, or any content generated in your advisory sessions for any purpose other than delivering your requested service.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform. Essential cookies are required for authentication and core functionality — these cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies (PostHog) help us understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve it. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time using the cookie preferences panel accessible from the bottom-left corner of any page.

We do not use advertising cookies or share your data with advertising networks.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share your information only with the service providers necessary to operate the platform: Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email delivery), PostHog (product analytics — anonymized usage data only), and Anthropic (AI processing — your session content is processed to generate advisory responses and is subject to Anthropic's data handling policies available at anthropic.com/privacy).

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of The 2nd Chance, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and session data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or delete your account, we retain your data for 30 days to allow account recovery, after which it is permanently deleted. Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

Payment records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations.

7. Your Rights — All Users

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion of your account and associated data, to withdraw consent for optional data processing (such as analytics cookies), and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@the2ndchance.app. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell (we do not sell personal information). You have the right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. You have the right to correct inaccurate personal information. You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information — we use sensitive personal information only to provide the services you have requested. You have the right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights.

To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact us at privacy@the2ndchance.app. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within 45 days as required by California law.

We do not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Our platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption provided by Supabase infrastructure. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by row-level security policies that ensure users can only access their own data.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
